BPSC School Teacher TRE 4.0 Overview: बिहार लोक सेवा आयोग (BPSC) द्वारा शिक्षा विभाग एवं अनुसूचित जाति/जनजाति कल्याण विभाग के अंतर्गत प्राथमिक (कक्षा 1 से 5 PRT), मध्य (कक्षा 6 से 8), माध्यमिक (कक्षा 9 से 10 TGT) एवं उच्च माध्यमिक (कक्षा 11 से 12 PGT) विद्यालय अध्यापकों के पदों पर भर्ती हेतु परीक्षा आयोजित की जाती है। परीक्षा में कोई नकारात्मक अंकन (No Negative Marking) नहीं होता है तथा अंतिम चयन लिखित परीक्षा के 120 अंकों के आधार पर सीधे जिला आवंटन द्वारा किया जाता है।
The BPSC TRE 4.0 exam is divided into three sections: Part-I Language (30 Marks, qualifying with 9 marks), Part-II General Studies (40 Marks), and Part-III Concerned Subject (80 Marks). For Primary Teachers (Class 1-5), the entire 120-mark merit is calculated from Part-II General Studies. BPSC School Teacher Selection Process 2026
Phase 1: Objective Written Exam (OMR)
- Total Questions: 150 Objective Multiple Choice Questions.
- Total Marks: 150 Marks (1 Mark each).
- Negative Marking: Completely exempt (0 marks deducted for wrong answers).
- Language Rule: 30% marks (9 out of 30) mandatory to qualify.
Phase 2: Document Verification (DV)
- Scrutiny of original CTET Paper 1/2 or Bihar STET Paper 1/2 scorecards.
- B.Ed / D.El.Ed degree marksheets and NCTE recognition proofs.
- Bihar Residential / Domicile and Caste Reservation Certificates.
- Aadhaar biometric authentication at designated district centers.
Direct Final Merit & District Allotment (No Interview)
BPSC Teacher recruitment has NO Interview stage. Final merit ranks are published strictly based on the 120 marks scored in the merit section. Candidates are allocated schools across 38 districts of Bihar based on their merit rank and preferred district choices.

Candidates must score at least 30% marks (9 marks out of 30) in Part-I Language (English 8 Qs + Hindi/Urdu/Bengali 22 Qs) to qualify. However, marks in Part-I are not added to the final merit ranking.
No, there is NO interview for Primary, Middle, Secondary, or Higher Secondary teacher posts in Bihar. Direct selection and district school allocation are completed strictly based on the written examination merit list and document verification.
The syllabus questions are based on NCERT and Bihar State SCERT curriculum prescribed for the relevant classes, while the standard and depth of questions correspond to the candidate's minimum prescribed educational qualification (Graduation for Class 9-10 and Post-Graduation for Class 11-12).
